Teramo and its surroundings
Teramo is the capital of the province of the same name in the Abruzzo region. The population of the city is 55 thousand people. It is located 170 km northeast of Rome. The city is located on the Adriatic coast, in the northern part of the Abruzzo region, in a hilly area at the bottom of the highest peak of the Apennines - Gran Sasso d'Italia (Gran Sasso d'Italia). It is one of the few towns where just half an hour from the city center there are both snow-capped peaks of 3000 meters and sunny beaches of the Adriatic Sea.
